History of project

Satisfy Me Early is an empowerment video broadcast published on facebook and Youtube weekly. The project was birthed in the summer of 2012 out of Psalm 90:14. It's a mandate to inspire, to strengthen, to raise prayer champions, and to lead lost souls back to the kingdom.

Satisfy Me Early is embarking on a new dimension to create awareness on Mental Health, Stigma, Treatment, Medication, Side effects, Rehabilitation and Recovery. "Understanding Your Mental State and Others Around You". 

 

About Us

Dorcas 'Sumbo Adeoye, nee Ajanlekoko was born on October 16th, 1968. She was born and raised in Lagos Mainland, Nigeria. She had her primary and secondary education in Lagos. She attended African Salem Church Primary School, Ebute-Metta Lagos and The Apostolic Church Grammar, Ketu Lagos. She travelled abroad to continue her education, In 2000, she obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Human Services from Anne Arundel Community College, Arnold Maryland USA. She continued her studies at Bowie State University, Maryland, she received a Bachelors of Science degree in Social work in 2003. After working in various Human Services agencies for several years, she embarked on a career advancement at the University of Maryland School of Social Work where she completed the requirements for the Master of Social work degree in 2012 with a primary concentration of Clinical and a secondary concentration of Management and Community Organization with a specialization in Mental Health. 

She has over 13 years experience in her professional career as a Human Services Generalist. She has directly cared and attended to the needs of geriatric patients, women with substance abuse, neglected and sexually abused children, delinquent youths, children with special education needs and mentally challenged youths and adults. She has facilitated several in-state and out-of-state Kinship Foster Care placements, Reunification and Adoptions by ensuring permanent homes for the children in her caseload.

She has worked in various governmental agencies such as the Department of Juvenile Services as a Youth Supervisor I, State of Maryland, Department of Social Services as a Family Services Worker II, served as a Social Work Associate with the Government of the District of Columbia - Child and Family Services Agency, Washington DC, USA and Psychotherapeutic Rehabilitation Services, Landover Maryland, USA.   She is also an ordained minister of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. She is married to Bishop David Adeoye a Pharmacist by profession and a senior Pastor of Graceland - Bible Faith Church of God, Upper Marlboro Maryland USA and they are both blessed with beautiful children. 

Other Project

The Acts of Dorcas Charities a non-profit organization is a family centered organization founded in October 2008. It was birthed out of compassion for the under-privileged, underserved and socially deprived segments of our society. Our vision statement is to alleviate social problems plaguing children and families, to educate and provide pertinent information in various areas and to elevate the affected homes, individuals and the commuinties at large. 

In fulfilling our vision, our mission will inculde the following: 

  • To be a voice for widows, orphans and single parents, providing up-to-date information that will equip then to face the challenges of the 21st century. 
  • Hosting regular seminars, provide mentoring and counseling services, creating a bridge between religious and non-religious organizations.
  • Partnering with private organization and government in search of affordable health care assistance for immigrants as well as non-immigrants. 
  • Connecting communities to government aides, services and grants
  • Transforming and intergrating challenged youth back into the society as productive and valuable citizens.
  • Providing a short term relief for parents both in home and out of home.
